Color harmonies:
Techniques for creating color schemes.
Complementary colors:

The colors which are opposite to each other on the color wheel are the complementary colors or Opposite colors[example: Yellow & blue]
This contrast look gives a vibrant look to anything where it is used. This can be used when we want something to stand out.
Complementary colors are pairs of colors which, when combined or mixed, cancel each other out by producing a greyscale color like white or black.
Analogous color scheme:

The colors that are next to each other on the color wheel are Analogous color scheme. This combination of colors helps to create comfortable designs.
The analogous color scheme can easily found in nature which will be harmonious and pleasing to the eye.
When choosing, choose the contrast colour-one to dominate, second to support and third to accent.
Triadic color scheme:

The colors that are evenly spaced around the color wheel. This color scheme is quite vibrant as well even if you use dull colors, it will work just fine.
To use this color theme successfully, the color should be carefully balanced. Dominate, support and accent.
Split complementary color scheme:

The color scheme is a variation of the complementary color scheme. Same strong visual contrast as complementary but less intense/tension.
This is good choice for beginners because it’s hard to mess up.
Rectangle (tetradic) color scheme:

The color scheme uses for four colors arranged into two complementary pairs. There are plenty of possibilities for variation. This works best if you let one color be dominant.
Pay attention to the balance between warm and cool colors in your design.
Square color scheme:

The square color scheme is similar to the rectangle color scheme, but with all four colors evenly spaced around the color circle. Same as other schemes, this works best when you let one color be dominant.
